Marcus Josty

Marcus is the Creative Director and owner of Scarlet Creative Studio. In 2024, he transformed Scharlachrot, a small agency in Zurich run by Kurt Wettstein, into Scarlet—driven by a vision to create something that truly resonates and provides real value to people, together with corporate clients, partners, and producers.

Before founding Scarlet, Marcus was Creative Director and Partner at Wirz Group, where he led major projects for Migros, one of Switzerland’s largest retailers. In addition to creating various campaigns, he was responsible for developing new retail concepts and communications, including the new brand identity for Migros and the visual identity and campaign strategies for the V-Love brand. In this role, he had the opportunity to work with many talented colleagues, including Artur.

Marcus has over twenty years of experience in the industry, having worked in countries like Switzerland, New Zealand, and Croatia. After studying graphic design at Lucerne University in Switzerland, he started his career at digital agencies before founding his first graphic design studio, Komun, where they helped build Alprausch, a well-known Swiss fashion brand.

After becoming a father, Marcus and his family decided to move to Wellington, New Zealand, where he worked at Springload for clients like Kiwibank and the New Zealand International Arts Festival. After the birth of their second child, they returned to Switzerland, where he began his advertising career as an Art and Creative Director at agencies like McCann, Havas, I&F, and TBWA, working for clients like Opel, Pfister, Coca-Cola, and McDonald’s.

In between, he and his family lived for over two years on the Adriatic coast in Croatia, enjoying fresh fish and working on various projects, including a children’s book that was never published but brought a lot of joy.
